Visiting the Van Gogh Museum with Kids

On a recent trip to Amsterdam, we were delighted to see that the Van Gogh Museum (https://www.vangoghmuseum.nl/en) was wonderfully welcoming to children. Not only is there quite a bit of space to move around and plenty of seating, the museum offers a scavenger hunt that provided a fun and engaging way for my kids to learn about the art. If you’re planning a visit, make sure to head up the escalator to the first-floor exhibit area after you arrive. Ask the staff at the counter for a scavenger hunt booklet. Once your kids have answered all of the questions and solved the puzzle, they can return to the counter to claim a small prize. It’s a wonderful way to make art accessible and enjoyable for kids. Plan to spend 1-2 hours at the museum and be sure to reserve your tickets ahead of time. Have you visited with your children? Let me know what you thought of it!
